Instant relief from:
excessive thick mucus, throat irritation, etc.
In this blog, I am explaining how to drain out the thick mucus, viruses, bacteria, and other irritants from nasal and sinus cavities by resorting to the sneeze stimulation treatment (SST). This will help to breathe clearly throughout the day and uninterrupted sleep during the nights. Before that, let us discuss the formation of thick mucus and the problem, it creates to the people.
Persisting thick mucus problem!
Usually, allergic people will have a tough time due to persisting thick mucus secretions for a long time even after thin mucus phase of common cold or influenza is over. This may happen to normal people also sometimes. I have explained in this blog, the reason behind the thick mucus problem during post common cold/ influenza period.
Chances of suffering from thick mucus syndrome will be minimum for those people who use combination treatment properly and promptly to get relief from allergic rhinitis, common cold, and flu.
People are also liable to suffer from the nuisance of thick mucus during the wet weather conditions, during winters, and in BENGALURU-LIKE weather conditions.
I have explained, how we can use an ULTRA SIMPLE sneeze stimulation treatment (SST) along with the combination treatment to get relief from the thick mucus problem instantly in this blog. First, let us discuss the formation of thick mucus and then about the solution for it.
About the formation of thick mucus:
Thick mucus problem appears to be due to the following reasons:-
1. Flow of thin mucus along with the inflammatory substances from nasal cavities into the sinus cavities during common cold and influenza causes inflammation of sinus linings. This can be attributed to close proximity and good connectivity of sinus cavities to the nasal cavities and indiscriminate nose-blowing.Thick and viscous mucus makes breathing difficult. Thick mucus is so sticky, it may remind you of the adhesive used in the furniture making. The sticky mucus can form a balloon equal to the size of a tennis ball outside the nose! It can form tiny bubbles in the nasal cavities and easily block the narrow air passages.
2. Inflammation of sinus cavities stimulates the growth of extraordinary number of goblet cells in sinuses. Goblet cells are known to secrete small granules of high density mucus which once get exposed to hydration expand around 500 times volumetrically in microseconds. This thick mucus moves toward the nasal cavities through the tiny passages between the sinuses and the nasal cavities.
The thick mucus in nasal cavities moves towards the throat due to the action of cilia -this process is known as POST NASAL DRIPPING. Sticky mucus creates nasal congestion and interferes with talking and causes bad breath (halitosis). This problem may persist for a period of up to 15 days or even more among allergic people. This brings untold miseries to the suffering people; it is sometimes continuous and sometimes intermittent and causes suffocation every now and then and disrupts the normal life. The suffocation also causes headaches. The person feels as if his whole head is being swollen and prefers to postpone the work and go to sleep. The suffering person's attention is predominantly drawn towards this problem all the time which makes him/ her lose concentration in regular work and behave incoherently (affects the cognitive functioning). The person is prone to take improper decisions under this disturbed and low efficient state of mind and also becomes emotionally unstable and gets irritated easily and tends to become forgetful.
The suffering person may make the odd type of noises while clearing the thick sticky mucus which irritates people around him. The noise is usually like: KAA....-KU-TU. The sound KAA.... is produced while drawing thick mucus from the nose into the mouth, the sound KU is produced while hacking down (shearing) the mucus and the sound TU is produced while spitting out the mucus. It makes one run to the wash basin every now and then to spit out the mucus. This will cause embarrassment to the suffering person and to the people around him as well. This prolonged condition is nothing less than a person being haunted by the evil spirits shown in the horror movies. People resort to alcohol to get relief, once they come out of the intoxication -it is back to square one!
If this happens in the night, the person will not be able to sleep properly and he will not feel fresh in the morning when he wakes up which makes him lose concentration in the work in day time.
Blowing nose hard
to get rid of mucus is dangerous!
to get rid of mucus is dangerous!
People suffering from the sticky thick mucus resort to blowing it out of the nose hard repeatedly to get rid of it! It is not a solution but is the beginning of the other problems. Blowing nose hard repeatedly can cause:-
1. Nasal septum deviation which could cause obstruction of breathing necessitating septoplasty.
2. Blockage of sinus passages which can cause sinus infection and collection of fluid in sinuses which may lead to sinus surgery.
3. Blockage of Eustachian tube which can cause middle ear infection (Otitis).
4. Patulous Eustachian tube (PET).
Frequent thick mucus secretions can also reduce nasal hygiene which can lead to the growth of nasal polyps and the associated breathing problems. Polyps also block the sinus passages and lead to the collection of fluids in sinuses which become reservoirs of bacteria necessitating the functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) to drain out the infected mucus.
If you are a person suffering from such episodes of horror unleashed by thick mucus formation, SIMPLY REJOICE! There is a genuine and instant solution to come out of this problem in the following paragraphs. Sneeze stimulation treatment (SST) along with the combination treatment will play the SUPERMAN for you.
The idea behind the:
sneeze stimulation treatment(SST)
sneeze stimulation treatment(SST)
Thick mucus problem is more common in the rainy days and the winter season among the allergic people. Sometimes, thick mucus syndrome may also appear after exposures to the pollution. In all these cases, sneeze stimulation treatment will come to your help. The thick mucus syndrome is quite common among the allergic people but sometimes normal people may also experience it. I have given the details about how to use the sneeze stimulation treatment to solve the nuisance of the thick mucus and the idea behind SST in the following.
The sneeze is known to emerge out of the nose @ the speed of about 160 kms/ hour. The sneezing also creates low pressure for a brief period in the nasal cavities which can make mucus collected in the sinuses to flow into the nasal cavities. We can use these two factors namely: the brute force of the sneeze and the low pressure it creates in nasal cavities for a brief period to our advantage @ our will -by stimulating the sneezes with the help of a piece of paper or some sort of strip. First, I am giving the details about how to prepare a simple strip to stimulate the sneezes, after this, we will discuss how to use this SIMPLE TOOL along with the combination treatment to get relief from the nasal blockage and the post nasal dripping of thick mucus quickly. Let us call this tool as sneeze stimulation strip (SST).
Make a strip measuring approximately about 3 mm by 90 mm as shown in the adjacent Fig. One can make this out of a tear-resistant visiting card, by cutting about 3 mm width of it along its length of 90 mm as shown in the adjacent Fig. Do not worry about these specified dimensions, they are only for guidance/ reference purpose. You can vary these dimensions a little bit here and there to suit the purpose. This strip can also be made out of the other type of visiting cards also, but the strip made out of the tear-resistant visiting card will not become soft by mucus and hence is suitable to perform 10 to 20 sneezes at a stretch. In case, the tear-resistant visiting card is not available, you can make it out of an ordinary visiting card or even you can also roll a piece of clean paper and use it to stimulate sneezes as described below. You have to use this strip only for one session of 10 to 20 sneezes; afterward, you have to discard it. Prepare 8 to 10 such strips and store in a small plastic box/ pouch to use them in case you need them later in the next coming few days. The Method of sneeze stimulation process:
We have to insert the strip by holding it between index finger and thumb (of left or right hand) into a nasal cavity and make its tip rub gently over the area in the nose where itching or sneezing sensation is felt. This rubbing action triggers the sneeze. Once that powerful sneezing @ the speed of about 160 kms per hour occurs, it will throw away the thick mucus along with the other unwanted substances out of the nose and the body through the external openings of the nose. These unwanted substances are usually:
1. Live or dead viruses/ bacteria
2. Products of immune system including inflammatory mediators and debris or dirt
3. Excessive mucus
4. Irritants/ allergens
How to get instant relief from thick mucus?
Sneeze stimulation treatment is meant to derive benefit out of our own innate immune response (sneezing in this case). The sneezes we stimulate while emerging @ such a high speed of about 160 kms per hour, throw away all that sticky mucus out of the nose and body. After this a low pressure develops in the nasal cavities for a very brief period, this is enough to make the thick mucus in the various sinus cavities to flow into nasal cavities! This is really wonderful! why? When we stimulate the next sneeze, it will throw out all the mucus that has come from the sinuses due to the first sneeze. And again this next sneeze creates low pressure in nasal cavities for a brief period and makes the thick mucus from the sinuses to flow into nasal cavities! The two logical diagrams below help us to understand the role sneezing in driving out the thick mucus from the body.
On noticing the post nasal dripping of thick mucus or blockage of nasal cavities, first blow out the mucus gently by narrowing the nasal cavities with the help of the index finger and the thumb. Then perform the anti-viral treatment, this will open up the nasal and sinus passages sufficiently. Afterward, resort to the sneeze stimulation process. By stimulating 10 to 20 sneezes like this, you can drain out the reservoirs of mucus and bacteria in the nasal and sinus cavities. The first set of SST (a set of 10 to 20 sneezes), will give relief from thick mucus syndrome for at least 12 to 24 hours or even more. Next time, if thick mucus problem appears, say after about 12 to 24 hours, please repeat this sneeze stimulation treatment. After a few times of hide and seek game, the thick mucus will disappear for a long time. Allergic people can free themselves from the harassment of the thick mucus by resorting to the sneeze stimulation treatment (SST)!
Just imagine, what type of benefits you can reap if you act at the right moments with this zero-cost sneeze stimulation technique! You can prevent all that nasal congestion, sinus headaches and even the chances of sinus surgery!
Throat irritation and thick mucus!
Sometimes, stuffy nose and throat irritation develop simultaneously. During this period, inhalation of polluted air or eating spicy food triggers a severe cough. Low pressure develops in oral cavity due to coughing or even while talking for a brief period -this makes mucus flow from nasal/ sinus cavities into the throat which forces one to spit it out. This process of coughing and spitting forms a vicious loop and goes on continuously for a long duration and is very torturous to the suffering person. The following logical diagram will help us to understand this vicious loop of coughing and mucus.
The solution:
There is no need to panic, there is an effective solution for this. Just put a 1/4-th teaspoonful turmeric powder in your mouth and slowly dissolve it in your mouth and swallow it slowly, this will reduce the throat irritation. The turmeric solution thus formed by mixing with saliva coats the irritated surface of the throat and gives a quick relief from irritation and coughing. Let us call this TURMERIC POWDER TREATMENT (TPT). After this, to get rid of the thick mucus from nose/ sinus cavities resort to sneeze stimulation treatment (a set of 10 to 20 sneezes) as explained in the above paragraphs. This should give relief for 8 to 12 hours from this problem. In the meanwhile, whenever the throat irritation is felt, resort to anti-viral treatment (AVT). Repeat this procedure of TPT+SST+AVT a few times more if necessary -this will solve the problem.
Surviving in Bengaluru like weather conditions!
Bengaluru like UNIQUE weather conditions can cause untold miseries to nasal allergic/ asthmatic people due to frequent nasal blockages caused during wet and cold weather conditions. The thick mucus from sinuses flows into nasal cavities and then moves towards throat due to the ciliary mechanism -this process is known as the POST NASAL DRIPPING. The thick mucus is too sticky, it is very difficult to blow it out. It hampers breathing very badly. It creates very unpleasant nausea like feeling when it coats the surface of the throat. During the night it suffocates the suffering person and wakes him up frequently. The person runs to wash basin to clear the thick mucus again and again. Usually, people will try to blow out the mucus so hard, the noise echoes in the bathroom which could rattle the bathroom windows and be audible in the bathrooms of the adjacent flats. Blowing harshly like this can make the mucus enter the Eustachian passages leading to middle ear infection. Blowing nose hard regularly can also cause nasal septum deviation.
Under such conditions, people should resort to the sneeze stimulation treatment (SST) along with anti-viral treatment (AVT) to come out of the problem as explained above. Please put off the fans/ slow down them, to reduce the instances of nasal blockages.
People suffering like this prefer to shift out of Bengaluru to some other cities or towns. Now there is no need for such migration, they can live very comfortably in Bengaluru with the help of the combination treatment and sneeze stimulation treatment!
Resort to SST pre-emptively before you go to sleep:
In order to have uninterrupted sleep, people should perform SST preemptively as and when they are able to guess the episodes of nasal blockages due to thick mucus before they go to sleep. This will help them to sleep uninterruptedly and keeps them fresh when they get up in the morning and makes them feel more cognitive and work-efficient.
